Do you get some kind of confirmation from a college when you apply to them through the Common Ap?

I only received confirmation that the application went through from the Common Ap.

For every place my S applied using the Common App, he got a confirmation from the school. Not immediately, but a day or two, and in one case a week, after he submitted the application.
