Do you get to fill in to the with a preferred amount of finicial aid?

Or do the college decide for you?

Try again, your question doesn’t make any sense. If you don’t know anything about how financial aid works, go to the Financial Aid forum and read the pinned threads.

No, you don’t get to fill in the amount of financial aid you want.

Monies are very limited everywhere.
Very few schools cover your full costs to attend the school.
Everything is based on the cost of the school, your income, and your family income.

Go to the financial aid forum and read up.
Go to the university you plan to attend and read their pages on everything, including financial aid.

Also, proofread what you write since your English skills look limited. If your first language is not English, find a friend that can help.

oops sorry
I made some corrections before I posted it but I didn’t read through the sentence
its suppose to say
Do you get to fill in the preffered amount of finicial aid on a college app?

No you do not. The school determines an amount.

preferred- spelled with one /f/

fi nan cial-not fi ni cial

No, you do not get to pick and choose the amount of money you want or need. You do have to provide them with your income and your parents’ income if you want a chance of receiving any kind of aid.

From another thread:What are the chances of me getting finacial aid if family income is 150,000$

I want to buy a Lexus, but I only want to spend $10,000. If only the world worked your way…

Seriously, since you are only a freshman in high school, work on keeping your grades up and look at schools that provide generous merit scholarships. That will be your best chance at money for college. With $150K in income, there will not be financial aid available - that’s for people struggling to feed and house a family with much lower income.
