Do you guys add your teachers on Facebook?

I don't, I feel like there's a teacher-student relationship and there's a line. Just letting your teachers see your personal pictures and statuses.. seem weird. I don't know. But yeah, maybe I'll add them when I've already graduated, but some of my friends added teachers who were leaving/pink slipped.

It’s against the law btw…

lol well I tried to add my teacher who is going away, she denied me but added just about EVERYONE else :stuck_out_tongue: :l :/

i have my teachers from middle school. it’s not against the rules here to add teachers, but no one does it until they move to a different school or graduate.

Yes,

But only because my teacher looks like this

http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/9586/d83f03901c94c338e57129e.jpg

^ And you like to tell people that she’s your girlfriend?

A lot of people in my school do it and my teachers are fine with it.

I had this discussion with my friends before. I told them I would add my tenth grade teachers once I left their school but I decided not to.

My friends and I summed it up as ‘it’s just very weird’.

Yes I love telling people I am going out with my girlfriend.

No, she is good looking so I add her to my facebook.

It’s the same as looking at pornography. You like it but you don’t want to marry the girl sheesh

I am often grateful that I am not a pretty girl, as this drastically reduces the likelihood of people I barely know posting my picture all over teh internetz.

Most of our teachers have a policy of being facebook friends after graduation. I’m friends with 2 whole teachers, from middle school. (I moved away)

There’s one 10th Grade Lit/AP Lit teacher that’s fbook friends with anyone though… he’s one of the “cool” teachers apparently.

Some of the cool teachers accept friend requests from seniors after graduation/class is over, but thats it.

The only teacher who really accepts friend requests from students is the Drama teacher, from the students in Play Production. Which is an audition only drama class, that spends a lot of time together after school putting together the plays. By the end of even one year, you develop a strong bond with this teacher, and a lot of students who graduate or leave the program keep in touch.

Its also statistically proven that students are most likely to have sex with a drama teacher, then band, and finally a coach.

I only add the hot male teachers. :stuck_out_tongue:
^Really? joins drama jk.

I should look for all of my school’s janitors and cafeteria staff and add them.

I only added one teacher because she helped everyone out through our AP Chem thread.

But as a general rule, teachers will only accept your friend request after you graduate.

It is against my school district’s rules for teachers to be friends with students on Facebook. Even if it weren’t, I’d probably never add a teacher because it’s kind of annoying when adults become Facebook friends.

There’s this teacher at my school who adds every kid on Facebook. I think its weird how he constantly posts on the statuses and pictures of kids. I haven’t added him for a good reason.

We add teachers after graduation. It’s kind of like a right of passage… but we’re really good friends with a lot of our teachers. lol

And I was already facebook friends with a bunch of the middle school teachers, even though I was technically still at the same school as the middle school teachers. (K-12 school)

Some of my friends added our bio teacher from last year becasue everyone loved her. We dont really talk much though. She only talks to us to scold us for cussing in our statuses
