did you idiots even know gtown is a jesuit school?

Err. yea why?

ok--lemme guess, you're either non-catholic or extreme right-wing catholic. am i right?

either way, anyone who is applying should have at least gotten that far in their research. anyone who doesn't know at this point...well, let's just say they probably shouldn't be applying.

it's not as if it matters, anyway. the fact that the school is catholic (and, yes, jesuit) is a plus for me.

um.

as far as i can tell it's only jesuit in name and the fact that you can't get birth control on campus.
plus there's 2 required theology classes but they can be on buddhism for all georgetown cares.

And did you know the Jesuits who do teach are awesome professors who are rather unbiased in their classes? gasp And they're extremely knowledgeable in just about everything? gasp

Indeed. And that Jesuits don't have office hours because they live on campus and that they've basically dedicated their lives to teaching?

Does the school give any preference for Muslim students for diversity?

Yeh, a Catholic school... And I'm a Protestant but it's alright. I'm living in Pittsburgh so I'm used to being outnumbered, and I'm a Conservative so I'm good with alot of Catholic views. Yet, I'm not going to let them convert me, even if I'm the only one going to Presbyterian services. And anyway Gtown is abotu as Catholic as Duke is Methodist. If you want a Catholic education go to Notre Dame or that Catholic Univeristy, which is in D.C. too...

I hate the Catholic Church but I'm applying anyway so I can knock their socks off.

Actually, the Jesuit professors do have office hours -- and you can visit them at their apartments at Wolfington or their CIR places.
