Do you guys know anything about transferring credit from CCs?

so i'm a spring admit and i've just finished my semester at a community college.

while i am fairly certain i got A's in the 2 classes i took in CC, i'd like to make sure i got 2 A's before i forward my transcript to UC Berkeley. grades come out around january 20 i think.

is there a deadline for forwarding my transcript from CC to UC Berkeley? or can i just do it anytime next semester?

thanks.

The grades don't transfer anyway, for your UC GPA, just the credits. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

are you sure? i don't think that's right..

kenf1234 is right. Your GPA starts over if you have taken community college classes. You'll still need to forward your transcript though. I'm not sure about deadlines for spring admits.

wth, does that mean i could have gotten C's in both classes and it wouldn't have mattered? LOL

If you want to apply to grad school they will see the CC grades...

where can i find out if there is a deadline for submitting transcripts? is there a specific office that you guys would recommend calling?

Talk to the Undergraduate Admissions Office in 120 Sproul if you have questions about CC Transcripts since they are the ones that put them in the Berkeley transcript.

my cc units went on my uc transcript as unit credits only, no grade (Bah!), which blows cuz I got an A as well. . . . OK, at least I got the college credits.

the cc classes still count towards fulfilling breadth requirements i believe. and you should have gotten an e-mail about this already....but heres what it says
