My gpa is 2.8-2.9 uw
I'v taken 1 AP class (Biology) and prolly gunna be a Bio major
I didnt take my SAT yet but out of 1600 (math and reading) i think ill get at the very least 1100
Im involved in about 5 clubs and i will prolly be the Pres. of one next year.

Your GPA is low and your going to need better SAT scores than 1100 if you want to make up for it. Also what did you score on your AP Bio test? Are your clubs meaningful? Do you have any work or community service experience? Are you instate?

I think you are going to have to do a lot of work to get in a solid range for admissions.

im a junior right now and im taking AP Bio next year so i didnt take the test yet, also im instate and I have about 60 hours of comunity service between frosh and soph year b/c my school has a reqirment that we do at least 30 hours of comunity service our first 2 years. And my clubs are pretty mush just basic clubs nothing really important but I think that im gunna be the pres. of one next year.

you are really in need of a higher SAT score. My GPA was similar to yours, but I had more APs and a score of 1390. Study hard, try to take a greater role in your clubs

you can definitely get into the Newark school of Rutgers, but I think the New Brunswick campus might be a reach considering your stats. I got wait listed at NB b/c I applied pretty late, past priority deadline - and my GPA and SATs aren't that great either. But I know kids who had easier classes and lower stats than me and still got in because they applied earlier. Rutgers is GPA and SAT score hungry, but you should be able to get into the Newark Campus.

Also, Rutgers is retarded how they accept ppl - i know kids with easy regular classes that got A's, but other kids with hard AP and honors classes that got B's and maybe 1 or 2 C's and got rejected so yeah. I don't think they consider course load at all.

FYI - Newark although doesn't have a good reputation; is actually the better school for business. Plus smaller class size and the kids there are not exactly at the same level as the ones at NB, in other words getting a good GPA is easier.

I met a guy at Rutgers Newark who got 990 on his SATs and had a 2.9 GPA. And now he's a TA for accounting at Newark Rutgers and is pulling a good GPA. Plus in 5 years, get your undergrad degree and your MBA if you want while still paying undergrad price. I'm actually considering going there because a lot of companies recruit from there.

in the end, NB is all about the numbers. - which is, I think, not completely smart in terms of what kids you accept.

There are even kids majoring in biology there, and they are pulling off good GPAs.
