Do you have any particular class that takes the majority of your time?

Probably AP Studio Art, but I willingly give up my time. I'm in the art room working on projects around 10 hours a week, and then there's the time spent on weekends and such. I'm submitting portfolios for both Drawing & 2-D Design at the end of the year, but I basically have all the concentration pieces ready for the latter, so I don't have THAT much work to do.

AP World History, but none of my classes this year are particularly time consuming. I'm a freshman though and I'll enter into an entirely IB courseload next year, so better enjoy it while I can! (Except for a semester of Health. Yay, Health.)

What is APUSH?

For me, the most time-consuming class is English.

Honors Eng. 3 for me

Firelight: AP US History

AP Lang. XD

Spanish. My teacher is completely crazy: a quiz every other day, A "unit test" every wednesday, an literary essay every 3 days, and a group project every 2 days. Not surprisingly, the class has more homework than all my AP classes combined (not even joking). And here's the funny part... we're NOT even AP!

I hateedddddd spanish lol.

I was supposed to take spanish iii, but dropped it because i just don't get the language. :(

No, this (sophomore) year is going really easy, which lets me focus the majority of my time on Ec's (debate, fencing, etc.)

I'm really (really) loving APUSH this year. I'm using Pageant and we're only on Chapter 7. But we go into great detail and I love my teacher.

Yeah I am liking AP US as well. My teacher doesn't give us any hw and the only thing we get graded for are tests.

AP psych. I thought the class would be sort of easy, but damn. It is interesting but damn.

IB Latin American History: sometimes I feel like that class is so pointless. On average, I have >100 pages of reading/week, and her quizzes are the most pointless questions, asking for specific details instead of overall impact of historical events. I find myself having to read the material twice or three times if I have time to scour the details of the book. Three people in that class have an A (myself included), but I think the reason the scores are so low is because of her methods.

APUSH - We're using Garraty, and we're assigned two chapters every other weekend to outline, 3 or 4 8x11s a unit, 2 to 3 themes, and terms.

yeah APUSH is raping me.. hard. the chapter outlines seriously take forever, and for a procastinator like myself that means no sleep :( (and we are only on chp. 7)

People getting killed by APUSH. I have gone through your pain, by November last year I found this site for outlines and it is basically spot on for American Pageant. It is an older edition so the chapters are a a little distorted but it saved my life. If you have to write outlines, just steal the site's if you want or use them. It helped me a lot on the actual AP test.

Are you using Garraty? We're on chapter 7 too. You talk like you're from around here (Michigan).

AP Lit. Though apparently the two classes my teacher has are getting nothing compared to the work given by the other teacher...

English and microecon. :(

I'm not taking APUSH (only 2 people have made A's in the past 5 years), but I am taking "dual-credit" U.S. History (1/2 st school, 1/2 at communiity college) which has the same weighting as the AP class AND is much easier. It sure pays to ask upperclassmen what courses to take.

But that's not my most time consuming class which goes to AP English which is just a ****load of reading.

AP Bio and APUSH. So far, AP bio has been giving little hw on the days I have to take APUSH notes. I dread to think what will happen when I have to take notes for both classes on the same day or have other stuff to do... o_o
