do you have cheaters in your honors/ APs?

I go the an extremely competitive prep school and in my honors class people think it's okay to cheat to get ahead. Now these people are number and 1,2,3 in the class and they constantly cheat and I think its bull because I work hard as hell while they pretend as if they are the best when its a lie. Anyone else have cheaters in honors and AP's?

no... there are 0 cheaters in my school. Sorry

yes, there are cheaters in my school, and the worst one is #2 in the class. she's all about numbers, while the rest of people in the top 10 are more self-motivated and laid back, still managing to get the grades. and it's not like she just cheated once, it's a multiple time thing, but teachers respect her and would never believe that she cheats. grrrrr she can't be proud of herself.

Not in my classes, but I've heard stories from other ones. They take turns copying off each other's tests. From what I gather people don't care about this and just tend to stick to their own ethics.

Yeah we have cheaters. But the naturally brilliant people are at the top anyway. Plus, the cheaters aren't consistent. And they aren't involved in any activities. They just go home and have poker tournaments.

Don't worry about it. Sometimes life isn't fair. In the real world there are cheaters too. Just work your hardest, the right way, and eventually you'll be rewarded. Karma will catch up to the cheaters in the end.

well...YES we did cheat ALOT in my AP Macroeconomics class during Fall semester...but we kinda sorta HAD to cheat in order to pass the class because our teacher was put in a bad position...he had poor math skills (AP Macro has a ton of math) and he has NEVER taught an economics course(he's an excellent Civics teacher though)...but the principal basically forced him to teach TWO AP Macro classes (both with nearly 30 students) plus a general US Govt. class...so both the students and the teacher were extremely overwhelmed because most of us had 2+ other rigorous courses and still had to basically teach ourselves difficult material...

some of you guys don't know how good you have it...my school is AWFUL...I almost didn't graduate because of that damn class

People think I'm a really big cheater. I don't know where that comes from. So unless you've seen someone cheat firsthand don't assume they cheat because others say so. That being said, I believe you guys. I have real cheaters in all my classes.

There are a lot of "cheaters" at my school, but they consider it using there resources wisely..... its funny when teachers decide to use different tests for different class periods. The look on their faces makes you want to rofl.

I really dont care if people cheat in regular classes but in honors or ap it bothers me ALOT! You take the class for a "challenge" and they try to take to easy way out. No one ever gets caught either, its always the same people. Theres one girl in my english class who always wore a mini skirt on fridays. Fridays also happen to be vocab test days, so she has a small piece of paper with the answers on it. Oh well, nothing we can do about it :(

Yes , the ap/honor courses in my school are filled with the competitive people that just want to get the A and will do anything for it. They partner up and make sure they get their desired "A", even though they claim to be "friends" they just want to see each other fail, it's sad but true.

Some people cheat, some people don't. It depends on the definition of cheating. At my school, AP stands for "Advanced Procrastinators." We all have people in our classes on our buddy list and will all get together to finish an assignment on the internet at 3am or read sparknotes rather than the book...

More kids cheat in the honors/ap classes in my school. It really ****es me off, because I would never cheat on a test or quiz. IMO homework is different although I don't like to copy that either. The number 2 girl in my classes tries to cheat off me in APUSH, but I don't let her :P

ugh. there was this one person who would always attempt to cheat off of me - always unsuccessfully, because i like to slump over my tests and quizzes. so one day, i bubbled all of the wrong answers from #1 - #10, and he was able to see it, so he bubbled in the same answers as i did. he turns in his test, i correct my answers, then turn in my test. he never copied from me again. =)

haha kchen that's great

The people who were accelerated by one year in middle school or began taking honors courses at my high school are the ones who blatantly cheat on EVERYTHING, from major tests to simple homework that isn't even due on the next day. They cheat themselves out of learning; all they want to do is get their grade and move on. (what I mean by this is that they don't even bother to do the assignment, but to copy it, and not even look over it before a test or quiz). Also, they don't even do it secretly, like getting an answer key or whatever, they look on one another's paper, and the lean over so much that they look like giraffes, and it is apparent they are cheating.

The people who were accelerated by two years in middle school (i'm one of them), actually do their homework, but we check homework with other people to make sure our answers are right, and change them if they are wrong. But, it's not one-sided, if someone wants to check their math homework with someone, then a trade ensues, the person who wants to check their math homework will have to let the other person check another subject (for example spanish). On tests, quizzes, and in-class assignments, we don't cheat, but not because of the honor code (we don't have an official one). We would rather get a bad grade on our own merit, rather than cheating and getting a decent grade, so that we won't have an "what-ifs" in our lives.

No one cheat's off each other in my Lang class, but we all kind of just skim the book or go to sparknotes. You walk in the morning that a book is due to be read and hear half the class telling the other half what happens. It's quite funny.

In my economics class, one person does the homework and it circuluates to the rest of the class. It ****es off the few people (like me) that actually try to do it.

not that i know of. but even if they exist i don't care their scores suck so i don't care.

in my AP Brit. Lit class, these 2 girls blatantly cheated. Like half the class saw it occurring, but the teacher didn't notice.
