This really makes me laugh...
Well anyways, this is the last week of my school's grading period and tomorrow I have a HUGE physics test.

So the physics teacher said:
"I'm going to make the exam really difficult, so that no one will get a perfect score, and no one will finish on time."

Seriously???

Anyways he gives us homework everyday, but he never teaches, he's just on his computer all day! xD

So only 4/30 people have "A"s in the class, and they're low As.

His grading is "subjective," two people may turn in the same paper with the same answers, but the grades are different, and he never explains why.

Lol my physics teacher does that too, but he’s joking. All of my teachers would like it if we all passed. Most of them care about what we learn. So it’s all good.

dude my teacher’s the best (im mean the worst in terms of learning). We do some problems and have no clue why we do them or the concept behind them. Our teacher expects us to know the formulas but doesn’t give a **** about life. He doesn’t even grade our tests properly. I bssed one test with 4 questions–came out with a sparkling 98 :)

I would give anything to go to your school! lol…
Nah, in my school, half the teachers are brain-dead or on crack.
Or something like that.

My AP Bio teacher seems to be doing that lol, but she admitted to her chemistry honors class that it’s all reverse psychology :). But she freaked out a lot of people today. Apparently, she claims that she’s only giving out As to people, who have a 95+ average in her class and anyone in the 90 - 94 bracket gets a B as their grade for this quarter, 80 - 84 = C.

I hope this is reverse psychology because I’m stuck at a 94.4 and the worst is yet to come (this Thursday)

Same here, I was actually in a different physics class at the beginning of the year, but I WANTED to get into his class b/c he would always brag about how he was a “good” teacher. And now I’m BARELY passing.
Crap, I should get out 2nd semester.

xxrunningonemty:
Mind explain how the ‘‘reverse psychology’’ works in that sense??
It could be the difference between passing and failing for me.
Thanks!

I agree that it could be the difference between failing/passing, which makes me nervous. But I think it’s just her way of getting us to put more effort into studying the material by “scaring” us into thinking we might almost fail this quarter. Like only 3 people passed the last quiz and 5 on the one before, so she’s assuming that a lot of us are simply slacking off. But it was definitely a wake call for a lot of people in class today. We’ll see what happens…

my ap world teacher doesn’t give the same tests like the three other teachers do… so i got a 100 on the test but she subtracted 6 points from everyones test so the average is the same as the other classes.

i got a 94 even though i got a perfect score.

^OMG. My other teacher did the same thing on my test. He took off 4 points because I crossed out 2 words in my essay and then he literally circles the crossed-out words in red and writes I need to learn to organize my thoughts. Ugh…he did that to everyone.

maybe they just want you to be motivated to learn more. so fail in the sense of low grades but not in the sense of knowledge? idk about the op’s teacher tho, he seems kinda like a jerk.

Well, I think that the problem is that my school DESPERATELY needs teachers, and that anyone with a bachelors degree is hired.
I’ve had subs that actually teach better than the teachers.

Well anyways, I find it kinda funny that my school is SO dysfunctional.
I mean, apart from teachers that are literally insane!(one even has a knife in his desk!)
The school is like 30 years behind in technology, and the regular non AP non honors classes are literally jokes, where the kids don’t do anywork, and the teachers spend the whole day on google… well, most regular classes anyways…
