i can only get my recs from a music teacher and an english teacher...anyone with any experience with this? does this mean i cannot apply?

you've never taken a science class or something?

seriously. it's pretty straight forward.

Ms. Pearson says that you only need 1 rec. She says that that's how she got in.

you should be ok.

Is this a situation where your science teacher perhaps left the school? If that's the case, you can probably track him/her down.

How about a math teacher?

It is Science/Math Teacher AND English/Social Science teacher. So yes, you can use a math teacher instead of science.

I asked this to the admissions at chicago because I didnt take english in senior year (self studied AP eng) and I had all math and sciences. And the only possible person to get an english rec from, was my 9th grade teacher who does not remember me at all, because my 10th, 11th grade teachers left the school.
And they said that this is fine - I submitted 1 from bio and 1 from calc :)
