Do you have to send ACT scores to your high school?

I just registered for the April ACT and when I put in my high school name, it automatically said that my scores were going to be sent there. I tried changing it but the only thing they allow you to change is your high school, and your high school name is required. Is there a way to change this? I'd rather not send them to my high school cause I haven't really prepared for the ACT (I prefer the SAT) but my counselor said it would be a good idea to take both. Help please

I don’t think there is a way to avoid sending it to your high school. At this point, I’d take advantage of still having a few weeks to do some major brushing up for the test, or else wait and take it in June (if you aren’t currently a senior). I think I would get an ACT study guide or try to find some resources online that could coach you through some things. Good luck!

You don’t have to send the scores to your high school. They shouldn’t even have your score.
