Do You Know Anyone Rejected At A Average School Only 2 Get Into A Far Superior School

<p>Wait listed at Union, but in at Penn, Grinnell, and some others.</p>

<p>friend got rejected at georgetown, tufts, got into claremont mckenna...dunno how far of superiority that is..</p>

<p>Got into UChicago EA but rejected from UCSD =0</p>

<p>I got waitlisted at WashU and accepted at Stanford.</p>

<p>My friend got rejected at UCI but got into UCLA</p>

<p>my friend was rejected from Georgetown but got into harvard (recruited for running though)</p>

<p>georgetown is far from what i would consider "average" though</p>

<p>my friend got rejected from Rutgers (her safety school) but then got into Brown</p>

<p>I Got into UNC Chapel Hill, Carnegie Mellon, Vanderbilt, and Cornell, but was denied by NC State, and I live in state.</p>

<p>neighbor boy rejected by Duquesne AND Pitt, into Georgetown. Still scratching my head over that one. He's happy as the proverbial pig.</p>

<p>Just goes to show you never know what's going to happen! Sometimes colleges see something special in a student that isn't "first class" and accept them over someone who is. Other times it's because of quotas or an international student population. Who knows?</p>
