I would like to go to NYU, but I my test scores aren't very high.

Do you know anyone who got into NYU with average or below average test scores/stats?

this post is useless without your scores. what’s “average”? or “below average”? we need numbers.

^ what she said. by average im going to assume national average.

national average would be about 1500/2400. i don’t know anyone that’s gotten into NYU with a 1500/2400.

You should let us know what school in NYU, first of all…

From his/her previous post in Chances:

"Average Test Scores, yet good GPA and extracurriculars?
I always see threads about people with high test scores and low GPAs and not so many extracurriculars, but I never really see many threads about low test scores and high GPAs with lots of extracurriculars.

I plan on retaking the ACT but just in case it doesn’t improve by much, how much of a chance will I have with these colleges?

Here are my ACADEMIC STATS:
1640 SAT
26 ACT (which I thought would have been A LOT higher)
3.7 GPA
13th/240"

I would say get the SATs (or ACT) up unless you can submit some really good scores under their new program. My daughter was GSPed/(LSP) with better GPA, great ECs, better rank and much better SATs.

me. lol. my grades were great. but my SAT scores…not so much. I got a 1630 and im in for the class of 2013

Assuming londonb’s post is indeed your previous post then I must say that if you bothered to research NYU you would know that it does not look at writing scores. (sorry to be harsh, but I had to say it)

I agree with missamericanpie. What do you consider average? Keep in mind that the scores tend to be different depending on the school you are applying to.
