If you're coming here and majoring in biology and expect to get an awesome GPA and go to med school.

you better twice.

i'm on-track. and i havn't had a class where the average was higher then sixty percent. so don't flatter yourself, thinkin' that you're gonna come here and regulate. my friend, valedictorian, decided to come to ucr, all cocky thinkin' that he's got a slot at the UCLA program, got taught, he's only an average student here.

"Very well put Cardinal. What humors me the most about UCR is by and large the attitude of the students, at least the ones I know personally. For some reason they are under the impresion they are at a very prestigious school, on par with "UCLA" and "UCSB." I find this funny because sure UCLA is a top UC but UCSB? and no mention of Cal? I I think UCR students should be proud because they are at a University, its not a CSU and they earned their position. However it needs to be put into perspective, that perspective being that these days WHERE your degree comes from is sometimes more important as WHAT KIND of degree you have!"

are your friends as egotistic as you seem?
i dormed and no one in my hall ever compared ucr to ucla/cal/ucsb/ whatever.
rather we often joke about how cruddy our ranking in the uc system is.

our school is not bad.
we are supposed to have a law school. got delayed because of budget cuts.
we have half a med school, but are working extremely hard to get a full one.
we have an awesome science faculty. guy bertrand - google his ass.
one of our psych prof. was head of some crap at harvard.

our chanc. was the head of nasa scientist.
we do have a lot of things going for us.
so obviously we're on the right track onto being a better then okay school.

get your facts straight before heading to critising the univeristy.
