Do you know these schools?

your thought on these schools. The good, bad and ugly please.
Loomis, Middlesex, Groton,Tabor

[Top Boarding Schools - Top Boarding Schools in the U.S.](Top Boarding Schools in the U.S.)

Of this list, Loomis and Tabor aren’t on it. However, if you’re into beach scenes, Tabor’s on the coast of Massachusetts.

I visited Tabor, and didn’t care for it. The campus really wasn’t that pretty. It wasn’t organized and some of the buildings were falling apart. The people there were… I’m not sure how to describe it. Kind of snooty and fake.

Just my opinion.

Middlesex and Groton are kind of similar and on the small side, but both are great schools.

Middlesex and Groton are in the acronym!!!(lol the GLADCHEMMS)
Loomis wasn’t that generous with FA last year, according to my observation on CC.

Tabor is more of a second/third-tier school. It’s still very unique and offers something like marine science(?).

AHAH!!! PSHEZPSHAGLGHNTHEHHEEEERWEEEWEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Finally SOMEBODY wants to use a more suitable acronym than HADES!
I applaud you, Gonnastop!!!   :D

GLADCHEMMS WILL RISE TO THE TOP, CONQUERING HADES ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!

ok, let me see if I get this:
Groton
L`ville
Andover
Deerfield
Choat
Hotch
Exeter
Msex
Milton
St. P
I would say GLADCLHEMMS
adding Loomis

Yes ^^

I didn’t invent this. I guess it’s Rad(?).

Anyways, GLADCHEMMS, we love all of you.

I guess it’s time for the GLADCHEMMS coiner to step forward and receive the adulation that is his due…

Thank you, thank you, all.

Choate has an “e” on the end of it, and anyway, I thought it was CHADES, not HADES.

No, I did not create that acronym. In fact I’m anti-acronym. C’mon guys, we’ve been thru the acronym wars before. lol

But if we want to talk groupings like that [of the schools you mentioned]MX and Groton are in the St. Grottlesex thingamajig. But I wouldn’t pay much attention to that.

Personally, MX is at the top of my list for next year. Pretty Campus, Nice location, v.good sports etc.

Ahem…since my last post didn’t get the message across…if you must know, it was I, leanid, who coined GLADCHEMMS – although I also modified it to GLADCHUMS so as to give it a nicer ring, but, I guess, that has not caught on – yet.

anyone have any idea where Concord Academy fits in the grand scheme (i.e. tiers)? second or third tier? It’s not a gladchums although Caroline Kennedy matriculated from there.

tiers don’t really matter so i wouldn’t bother.

@RBGG, Concord is a nice school, 2nd tier, if you must. I would have considered it on my list if they had hockey.

@Leanid,
For GLADECHUMMS are these the schools?
Groton
L`ville
Andover
Deerfield
Exeter
Choat
Hotch
U???what is U for?
Msex
Milton
St.P

no, its not GLADECHUMMS
its
Groton
Lawrenceville
Andover
Deerfield
Choate
HOTCHKISS!
Exeter
Middlesex
Milton
St. Pauls
some people say Glad Chumms just because it sounds better than GLAD chemms, and they replace exeter’s E with a U

What is the U for in GLADECHUMMS?

okay never mind, I see what you mean

legasp! polo! thou hath soiled this thread with your HK-ness! …blasphemy lol jk

The U just makes it catchier/sound better
