<p>Do you know when adcoms choose applicants?</p>

<p>March?Or do they start in Feb?Do you also know what happens with hyps?</p>

<p>I have no idea how the process works anywhere other than MIT, but at MIT, applications are read during January and early February. Selection usually begins for domestic students around Valentine’s Day (I would expect it to begin this week or next), and selection for international students usually begins about two weeks later, around March 1. Decisions are usually finalized in the last few days before they are released.</p>

<p>Do you think it’s too late for a deferred student to send in an update? I’m planning on mailing one out by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.</p>

<p>You can certainly send it, but there’s no guarantee it will be seen.</p>
