Do you like Lehigh?

I want a school with a good business school. I have a 32 ACT (they combine scores from different tests) and about a 3.6 uw, 3.9 w. I absolutely can't visit - I'm living overseas this year. Do you think I'll get in? Is business very quantitative? Do they offer merit aid or honors programs to people with my stats?

-I like Lehigh
-If you can't visit, at least try to be in contact with the Admissions Office. Ask questions about their business program. This is very important - Lehigh places great emphasis on student interest.
-Merit aid is stingy/highly competitive- Lehigh is almost Ivy-like in "need-based financial aid".

I love Lehigh. Just a freshman now, but I've been having the time of my life. Everybody I've met is really cool. Parties aplenty every night, though I limit it to thursday-saturday. The only business class that I have now is economics. My econ professor is incredible. Funny, explains things very well, and prepared us well for the midterm.

The only honors program is the one I'm in. It's called Integrated Business and Engineering and is exactly what it sounds like. Go to http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=218483 for another thread where I've written more about IBE.

They do offer merit based aid, but its very selective. A girl from my hs that applied to lehigh got a great merit scholarship. She was somewhere in the top 5% of my class. I graduated hs with about a 3.6 uw gpa. Weighted was 4.3 or so from a few GT and AP courses. No merit aid, so I'm not sure if you'll receive any.

There's a good amount of foreign students and students from far away states. Met three hawaiians, there's a guy from el salvador on my hall. Plenty more that I haven't met. Just do like cclu said and contact admissions. Call or email and explain your situation, what you're interested in. Email a few professors in the business school.

yeah, i LOVE lehigh

I had my reservations about the whole "preppy party school" reputation but you really gotta be open-minded and check out what lehigh is about. The kids are actually really social, nice, and generally hard working. There's plenty of partying going on, but I've also met non-partiers who have a good time as well. Definitely visit!
