Also would you rather have classes one after another or have a break in between classes?

depends on the class, i wouldnt want two intensive classes back to back. The most classes ive had back to back was 3 but i disliked it, prob b/c i had lunch at 2:30. Every other day i had 2 classes back to back and then had lunch at 12 and my schoolday was over, which was pretty nice. next semester im trying TuTh 2classes, lunch break 2h then 2more classes. mo/wed i have 1class(chem) with a lab/disc and friday only 1 class :D

I’ve done 3 back to back ones on MWF. That can be a little tough as a good bulk of the between 15 min is spent commuting. This semester MWF I have almost 2 in a half hours between my 9A and 12 class. I do enjoy it have plenty of time to get lunch and relax before my last class of the day, but I do admit, makes me a tad more lazy.

I like time in between classes, and I would never take them all on the same day. That would be crazy during midterms/finals.

I like to have 2-3 classes per day, with a day or so per week where I just have one or zero classes. I like to have a balance. I like to have my classes back to back for the most part, unless I have like four classes a day or something because then it just becomes like a marathon.

I had five classes back to back M/W/F and thought it was hard to go every time. Then again, I’m not the most motivated… but at the beginning of the semester I went to all of them and it wasn’t so bad. The only thing was the hour long breaks in between. Too short to go back and too short to finish an assignment. Still, I looked forward to sleeping in until 5 on T/Th.

It’s also hard to feel motivated to do homework after you’ve spent the equivalent of a workday in classes.

I like to have most of them on the same day. pretty much back-to-back. I currently have three of my four classes on MWF, with lunch after the first one and before the last two. I also have my work study about half an hour after class ends until eight, every MWF. Works pretty well for me.

Do you get to choose your class schedule or is it random?..like the days and class can you choose them yourself

Sent from my SPH-M910 using CC App

You choose them yourself, but obviously from the choices that they have - sometimes only one section is offered, so obviously if you want to take the class, then you have to take that one. Other times there’s more than one section and you can choose from some different options.

I prefer to spread mine out. I don’t like to have more than two classes in a row. I like having a lunch break - right now on T/R I have a break from 11:15-1:00, which is plenty of time to go back home (live off campus), eat, and finish up the homework/reading for one (or both) of my afternoon classes.

I try to have two or three a day with a break in between. A back-to-back class is fine, but I want at least an hour in there if I have a third class just to break them up.

I couldn’t imagine doing all of my classes on Tuesday/Thursday, though I know a lot of people do that. I much prefer to spread mine out over the week.

I had them all M/W/F one quarter, and I learned to try as hard as possible to spread them out after that. If I was sick or had an important meeting/deadline, I missed all my classes for the day; I was almost always running across campus so I didn’t have time to review/fill in my notes or ask the professor questions after class; and I often had multiple due dates or tests on the same day. I also pay more attention when my classes are spread out and have more energy at the end of the day to hang out or attend club meetings and events.

I love packing them all together on the same day - it makes me feel more organized, and parking is terrible at my school so there is less stress coming every day. (I live off campus) - I like having “class days” and “homework days”. I also work and have internships so its important to me to have open days/blocks of time where I’m not in class rather then a few classes scattered throughout the week.

Right now, I have two 4-credit classes on MWF (with Chem lab on Monday) and two 4-credit classes on TuTh. On MWF, my first class starts at 8:30 and my second starts at 11:45, so I’m done by 12:35 (except on M, when I have lab). On TuTh, my first class isn’t until 11:30, but my second class doesn’t end until 3:45 (and on some Thursdays, I have this 1-credit hour class called PACE, so then I’m not done until 4:50-ish). I definitely like having my classes all spread out. I feel like time-wise, I have an ideal schedule this semester. I like being done with classes at 12:35, but at the same time, I enjoy not having to worry about going to a class until 11:30; by having one arrangement MWF and one on TuTh, I get the best of both worlds. Also, I get fairly lengthy breaks between my four-credit hour classes, so that’s definitely a plus as well.

I would hate to have all MWF or all TuTh classes or to have no break between one 4-credit hour class and another (I’m fine with no break between a 4-credit hour class and PACE or Health 100). Right now, my schedule next semester involves having three MWF classes and one TuTh class, with no break between chemistry and my freshman seminar and with chem and bio on the same day. I’m still trying to get that changed.
