The Pratt Institute is asking that I list all the other colleges I'm applying to on my application. Theres a lot (10 or so). In fact I'm not sure I can even get them all to fit legibly on the paper application. I've read you don't have to give up this information but I don't want to lie, be caught lying, or leave it blank. Is it ok just to put a few of the schools down?

If they say they require it, then put down all of them. If it's optional, then don't.

i'm sure it's fine if you don't put allll the schools, but i don't see why you wouldn't.

Where do you see the word "all" on the Pratt application form?

don't let them know. it's none of their business.

Don't list safeties. Be selective which others you put down, make Pratt think they're the one. It's a question the school has no right to know, so use it to your advantage.

Simultaneous posts by MPM. She's right, they don't need to know, but not listing any might make you out to be an ass-- so do the selective business and have your cake and eat it too.

Opps sorry guys the all was unnecessary
I don't think it says that I just inferred it

I'll just list 5 or so then
thanks

If it's a reach school for you, I'd suggest you list a few other competitive schools to show them that you have other options.

If it's a safety school, be careful not to scare the school into rejecting you out of fear of being used as a safety, so don't state too many reach schools. :)

Statistically I can do better (Smiths my number two) but it's still my first choice because of the program. However I can only afford college with generous financial aid, something I'm not anticipating from an art school. Does that still make it a safety?
