Do you need to take a science class if you are a business major at UT?

I want to transfer but want to avoid taking a science class since I find it quite hard/boring.

yes you have to take 2 semesters of science, but the kind for non science majors, no labs, and they have to be concurrent like chem 1 and 2 or bio 1 and 2

Thanks for the quick answer. A follow up question, so does that mean that you have to take two sciences BEFORE you declare a major(within the 1st 2 years in college) or can you decide to take two sciences any year you want. Is there a requirement for that?

Ex: Take BIO 1 and 2 your final two semesters in college before you graduate.

I'm not sure, my son got them out of the way freshman year (chem 1&2 were not hard at all). You can check the degree plan for your intended major.

I know that my son is declaring his major this spring, but isn't taking sophomore English and the second government class until this summer, so maybe the sciences are the same.

no, sciences aren't required to declaring your major in business.

You have to have them by the time you graduate. The class(Physics) my friend took was a complete joke, something like 60% A's, and 40% B's... you can't fail. I used to look at my friends homework, it was completely stupid.
