My school doesn't have AP Chemistry, so I only took the regular class last year. Right now, I'm doing a practice Chemistry SAT on the CollegeBoard website and I'm struggling.

Did the CB design this test for those who took AP Chem?

I have heard of many people doing well without taking the AP course for it. Take a few practice tests and see how you do.

Most people in my school got an 800 after taking chemistry honors, not AP. Your school might be a bit different though. I’d say that, as long as you know acid/base stuff very well, you’ll be fine.

I got pretty much all of the relationship analysis questions wrong. I’m guessing that proficiency in those questions comes with lab experience, but my chem teacher never really put an emphasis on making sure we could link the labs to the book material :(

I personally think taking AP chemistry will help you get a good score. My school only offered honors chemistry and i got an okay score. It depends on the school, because regular chem at my school is very different than honors. Look at some review books like Barron’s, Kaplan, princeton review and see if you know at least the basics (acid/base, moles, writing equations)
