I was tired of when ACT books said to me..."read actively"
yep, I know what it means, but have no idea how to execute it.
SO I came across a FREE online book by Kris Madden who has compiled a book that will help you speed read and understand the context of the passages.

before reading this book my ACT score for reading was 23, then after reading it I went up to a 30.

I hope any of y'all taking the ACT in April like me will find this helpful!

Learn To Speed Read Book - Kris Madden - The Speed Reading Writer

From 23 to 30? I have to try this!!! Thanks!!!

Thanks for this, as it will surely help many! However, to fully ‘master’ speed reading takes practice. It’s not really a learn-from-a-book skill.

Hello everyone on College Confidential. Thank you very much lovelytexan. I always do bad on the ACT Reading section (I got a 24 my most recent time), and that just kills my Composite score. I love reading, but I hate reading within a small time limit, because when I read, I try to get the profound meaning of it and that wastes my time. Hopefully this can help.
I reiterate: Thank you very much, lovelytexan!

thanks! I might have to try this!!^^
