On the USC website it says that they find subject tests helpful for evaluating merit scholarships, but they are not required.
Does this basically translate to "no subject tests, no merit aid?"

My stats are 33 ACT (retaking) and 3.98 UW GPA (top 1%)

My subject tests are 720 in US history and 720 in lit. Am I better off not sending these scores or will that hurt me? Because I don't think sending them would help me much...

BTW, do they even accept the December ACT for scholarship consideration?

It translates to, they find subject test scores helpful for evaluating merit scholarships but they are not required.

Why would you think that you would be “better off” not sending scores in the 700s? Scores in the 700s are very good. Do not let the (unverified) bragging going on here on College Confidential warp your perspective to the point that you believe that a 720 is anything other than a very fine score. Sat subject scores in the 700s can only help.

Yes, the December sitting is accepted for scholarship consideration. Put USC as an automatic score recipient - don’t wait to see your scores before sending. As soon as you get your score report online, save a copy and upload (or FAX a printed copy) and send in the unofficial scores. They will use the unofficial scores to consider your application as they wait for the official scores to arrive.

Good luck.

Note - no math or science subject test scores? Those would be helpful as well.
