If you have taken SAT and ACT, do some colleges still require subject test scores? or you can submit SAT and ACT scores and that is suffice.

Yes, some colleges and universities do require applicants to submit scores from subject tests if they have taken the ACT. But not very many do.

Every college or university where you’re considering applying will list its requirements for standardized testing on its web site.

You need to check individual schools to see req’mts.

Though some sites have created a quick look-up listing you should still double check each school to confirm since lists can be outdated.

Here is a chart for example -

You will need to look at the admissions website for each school you are considering and make a list for yourself of their individual testing requirements. Every school has its own testing recommendations and requirements. Our D’s ACT scores are higher than her SAT, so she will submit her ACT results. Of the schools she is considering, only 1 will require subject tests from her.

In the subject test column, many schools say “2 if submitting
only SAT” none of them say 2 if submitting
only ACT"; none of them say 2 if submitting
SAT or ACT"; does that mean you need to submit 2 subject tests if submitting SAT but same is not true if submitting ACT? In other words, you need to submit SAT + 2 subject tests OR ACT w/writing.

Yes. Many schools want SAT1+2SAT2 or ACT. But many other schools want subject test scores no matter which test your take.
