Do you need to keep taking a full load up until the time you are accepted?

I plan on shooting off my application here this November, but by the end of the fall semester (my CCC is on a semester system) I'll have my 60+ credits, IGTEC, and my prereqs completed. During the spring 2009 semester, I'd like to take one or two cakewalk classes to boost my GPA, while I work full time to save up money for the move to wherever I get accepted (praying for UCB, UCLA, or UCSD).

But now I'm wondering on whether or not it will reflect badly on me if I only take 6 or 9 credits during that spring semester. Is this something that they'll pay any attention?

I spend too much time here looking at extensive ECs and 4.0 GPAs, so I already feel like I don't have much of a chance, but if anyone has any experience, knowledge, or insight on this I'd appreciate the help!

Should not be a problem. I only took 4-9 credit units each semester until I was accepted. While I thought my part-time student status and extensive years to complete "two" years would hurt, ultimately, I was still accepted by UCB.

The thing is, it really won't matter if you take those easy classes because they won't be factored into the GPA that the admissions officers look at. Technically, you can take zero classes during your last spring semester because you're done with everything and it won't reflect badly upon you.

Don't worry, it's not a problem if you have completed everything already and it won't hurt you at all.
