I'm not going to university for a long time, but this question was bugging me. So, do you have to major in something scientific (bio, chem, etc) to go into pre-med?

I know a dance major who did pre-med and went on to medical school, so I'm going to say no

No, but there are some science requirements for med school. A dance major would have to take these courses in addition to their dance major requirements, while the additional courses for a science major may be less.

No you don't, and many people will (wrongly) tell you that you should major in a humanities to go to med school. If you can't compete with the crappy pre-med kids now, how will you be able to in med school?

Sorry, but pre-med kids annoy me =P

you don't have to, I know a girl whose degree is in International trade-french and she's pre-med, but it helps. That girl had to come back after graduating to do her science credits to apply for med school-- general and organic chemistry, biology, etc. So it's really to your benefit to go ahead and just major in something science-y. You can always minor in something else if you like it.
