Do you NEED to send your community college transcript to colleges when you apply?

Do you NEED to send your community college transcript to colleges when you apply? What happens if you don't send it or show it to any colleges?

Also, I just saw the application form for the UCs and I can't believe you have to fill out everything yourself! Don't they have records of your GPA, AP tests etc.?? What happens if you don't include something (you forget)?

Ok, thanks.

Yes pretty much. If you forget you can always send (in writing) a correction.
They might not take it...but there ya go.

What if you choose not to send the grades?

They ask if you've attended any other colleges. If you say no, you're lying. If they request the grades and you don't send them, your application is incomplete.

If you've taken a full year at community college, you're applying as a transfer, not a freshman. If you apply as a freshman anyway, it's fraud.

Your past is what it is. Send all the requested information and deal with it.

I don't think you HAVE to send the transcript. I discussed it with my guidance counselor once.
However, if its not too bad, you should send it; you can get some credit for the courses, I think.

I discussed this with D counselor also and she said grades are self reported, they will check when you decide to attend. If you misreport, lie, whatever then the offer will be rescind. It makes sense but I forgot to ask how do they know the school profile?

I also forgot to ask what happens if you take a PE course before 9th grade at community college, do you have to report?
