ambient sounds. Classical music is actually distracting to me since I’m a musical person and music can break my concentration easily. I prefer ambient sounds because they’re sporadic and unpredictable.
Neither. I preferred soft acoustic music with some alternative mixed in. Weepies, Death Cab, Snow Patrol, David Gray, Coldplay, etc.
Classical music or movie soundtracks work best for me.
I sometimes put on my Beatles radio on Pandora when I’m doing lighter study.
Usually, I like to listen to alternative music. It pumps me up.
For actual studying, ambient sounds or instrumental music work best for me. Anything with vocals will distract me.
For working on homework that I have a decent grip on, I listen to alternative rock. If it’s homework I’m having some trouble understanding though, I either turn off the music or listen to something instrumental.
And when I need to work late, I tend to have alt rock on because it helps me stay awake. The volume will be pretty low if it’s something I need to concentrate a lot on, but it will still be on.
EDM, keeps me up
Absolutely silence. The quieter, the better.
