Do You Read The Reading Passages on the SAT I?

stambliark41-- the june curve was harder
for CR i missed 2 and got 790

I read the whole thing, then go to the questions where I check back for the answer if I'm not 100% sure.

scores: 750 and 740.

Wow, seriously. Everyone here must be geniuses. I got 660.

Read: NAH

I just do the questions man. It’s so much harder and hence more fun when you don’t know what they’re talking about. Makes my -0 800 actually mean something.

Read: yes
Score: 800, then 780 (vocab screwed me on this one)
Comments: of course you should read first. i actually read the whole passage before reading the questions, but maybe i’m just weird… it helped me focus better. and you need to really read the whole thing if you’re going to answer the big-picture questions. i guess if you’re a very slow reader you could try the skimming approach, but otherwise you should definitely read it all. and read the little intro thing they have at the top, it helps give you the context of the piece

For PSAT’s…
Read: yes
PSAT Score: 80
Comment/Hints: The answers are in the passage

SAT’s
Read: skimmed/referred back to passage
SAT Score: 700
Comment/Hints: I don’t know what happened haha
