Although I CONSTANTLY hear the importance of "professional networking" for you career development, I feel like there is gap in the 'HOW' of professional networking. There are usually some good resources at each schools career center on 'how to work a room' and the importance of getting involved, and how to be effective at career fairs, but I really don't think they do the justice.

I'm intrigued by the idea of building a 'how to network' website/course that will include hours of video demonstrations to give specific examples of how to network and how to effectively build your professional network. I wanted to come onto the forum and see if other people felt the same as I did on this subject and get some feedback.

So, the question is, do you think it would add value to your career to have available a website dedicated to actually showing you how to network. The features I'm thinking of are:

tons of articles/guides on specific topics
lots of specific examples and transcripts of things to say to:
recruiters, interviewers, classmates, professors and others that would constitute good networking
tons of interview Q&A (mostly for those tricky behavioral questions)
tons of videos on all topics including how to be effective at career fairs, professional associations, student groups, and a walkthrough on how to use linkedin to find recruiters to reach out to

Do you think there is a need to help out students and even seasoned business professionals? I'd like to get some feedback before I spend a ton of time in this!
