Do you recommend any books to read before taking Sat

Im currently a junior and plan on taking the SAT this June. I've been practicing for a while now, but I'm concerned I havent read enough of the classics to use for essay examples because my school is more into "alternative" books.

Can anyone recommend some books I should read to get my reading/essay score up?

if what you care about is your sat reading and writing score… don’t bother with classics now as they wont help you. your best plan is to just keep doing practices and maybe have your teachers read your 25 minute essays. you don’t need examples from ‘classics’ in your essay, in fact i would argue that tends to make your essays cliche. stick with personal examples and examples from history. good luck!

if you really want to read just for fun though… tale of two cities was excellent (the 2nd half…)

It depends on what you have on your PSAT or your latest CB test
