Is there any point to even bother to do CSS Profile if EFC from FAFSA is high enough? we did indicate for financial aid on college application (before FASFA). Some schools do require CSS and are asking for it. Any harm to just ignore and not do it?

I wish the css deadline is after the admission decision. After all if the school is 100% need blind, it would be nice to work on the profiles after we find out if we got accepted or not.

You are not even considered for aid without the PROFILE. What you wish for in deadlines is not a consideration. If the school requires PROFILE, complete it.

Um, are you kidding? If FAFSA is high enough? High enough for what???? Most families will have to pay more at schools that use profile because more assets are taken into account.

our FAFSA came out as 50K. I assume that CSS would be even higher since it also counts other assets like home equity. Since no school costs more than 50k, we are not getting any financial aid anyway. So why does it matter to send CSS? I guess what I'm asking is, should we withdraw our application for financial aid? or by not sending CSS would accomplish just that?
