<p>Hey everyone I have applied to about 5 schools, 2 of which I desperately want to go to but know that I am on the borderline of being accepted/rejected/wait-listed. My question is what if the 2 colleges I applied to rejected me, is there any possible way I could get them to change there mind? (Call, meet in person, email, etc....) I am just really worried right now that I won't get accepted.</p>

<p>Many colleges have an appeal procedure that someone rejected can follow. However, few ever win such appeals.</p>

<p>I have never heard of such a process. Most (if not all) rejection letters say something along the lines of, “All decisions are final”, which is true. If you are rejected, why would a college accept you?</p>
<p>There are contingency plans everyone should have with decision time. Planning on appealing rejections is FLATLY, not one of them. Unless there was a serious material mistake (if you could prove they evalated someone else’s transcript for instance), you have no leg to stand on. None.</p>
<p>If you are determined to get into one of the schools that rejected you, go to another school, get good grades and transfer.</p>
<p>For top universities, a no is a no. However, you all seem to disregard lower ranked universities (which the OP may be applying to). I know for Penn State you can call to ask them to reconsider you for summer session if you did not get in for fall so the best thing to do is to research each university to see if it has a policy like that.</p>
<p>Thanks for all the answers. Especially thank you mango for considering the fact that I was applying to not so high ranked schools ( Suny Albany, Suny Buffalo). I heard letters go out this week so ill keep everyone posted whether I get in or not</p>
