Do you think Bush is an alum interviewer?

"Bush has 125 IQ"

per kg?

His speech was weak.

didn't watch it. dunno whats happening. just know that this Iraq thing is completely his idea and fault and we're getting the shaft. If a draft comes around, I'll be mighty ****ed and consider moving to another country.

You'd have to be way far off in moonbat land to think that a draft is ever gonna happen this side of a land war with China.

That is actually one of my greatest fears. I am a female Chinese-American (U.S. citizen). And a land war in China would mean, in my worst dreams:

1) I am drafted, even as a female;
2) Being intelligent but unathletic, I'll be assigned to something academic-y like ham radio operation (joke) or... um... looking Chinese. Espionage?
3) I'll get captured. They'll think I'm Chinese. But I'm illiterate!!
4) Execution/rape/career as Communist double agent

=O

(I am also joking. Sort of.)

Haha......their not gonna make you a spy just because you have Chinese background, and I'd highly doubt women would be in the draft.

"That is actually one of my greatest fears. I am a female Chinese-American (U.S. citizen). And a land war in China would mean, in my worst dreams:"

Ask anyone who lived on the west coast in the 40's what happened.

I know you were joking. But you already have the answer.

No way, but that would be incredible.

Bush: "My philosophy for college admissions is: rejected once, shame on you, rejected twice...uhh... shame on ...once ya get rejected once ya can't get rejected again."

[/quote]

hahahah That literally made me laugh out loud!!!

Good point Opie, though there is naturally going to be difference, as we were thinking about a war WITH China, not just IN China. In WWII we were allies.

"Funny he is the reason my D crossed yale off the list very early."

I've heard this from more than one person IRL. Sad but true.

Fortunately, such extreme cases of legacy admissions aren't common anymore.

W wouldn't last one semester in the YALE of today....

I think that he got in because of the massive amount of money that his father gave Yale, not for being a legacy. Also being son of a President could have helped.

He wasn't the son of a president at the time, needless to say.

And Prescott Bush was much more of a benefactor than GHWB was.

haha, forgot that he wasn't pres yet. But $$$$$$ probably helped.

It definitely helped. But nowadays the legacy admittee would also have to be able to do the work. When I was a grad student there, I took some undergrad courses and they were HARD. Not least because of their outrageous reading assignments. I'm not a speed reader and I have a limited attention span ;)

If people are dumb and loony enough to cross Yale off b/c of GWB, it obviously wasn't much of a loss to the school. And what a bunch of crap about him not lasting a sememster. Wasn't Yale the school that had a CC kid snuck into and they did just fine?

Hopefully, your daughter avoided Harvard as well. They produced Ted Kaczynski .

Uh, not to mention GWB ;)

I hope her daughter avoided college altogether and just went straight to the workplace because thats a smart route, Yale clearly isn't hmm lol sarcasm

LOL I can't believe people are seriously asking this...wow, just wow

^^^ it wasn't really serious. it was a joke. read the discussion maybe?
