pretty please
with a cherry on top?

bump for the last time…

Personally I don’t think you will get into the ivies. You became very involved all of a sudden in 11th grade, which looks really bad. Also you have basically no leadership. The schools you are looking at scrutinize everything, so becoming involved your junior year and having no leadership will not compensate for high grades and tests scores. Look at schools that focus on grades/will overlook your weak spots. On a side note I think taking Spanish in high school might make it look like you were just going for an easy A.

Also use your ACT over your SAT, it is a stronger score.

yeah my ECs are pretty weak but I’ll try and compensate for it with something else. thanks for the reply though!

If you ED i think you have a decent shot at cornell. ivies are a crap shoot but some of your statistics seem to fall into cornell’s range. also, cornell ED is like 40% so if you wanna go to an ivy, cornell is your best shot and with an ED application. i think your essay has to be really good. your gpa is excellen though. good luck. also you can try to shoot for a little less than ivies like gtown, emory, etc. those schools are also good for you and u have a better shot at. :)

Cornell was 32.7% ED acceptance last year and filled 37.1% of it’s class with ED. This is versus Brown’s 19% ED accetpance and 37.4% filling. Cornell is slightly easier then there, and being URM Hispanic will help quite a bit. I don’t know what ArtsyGirl is saying, taking 3 years of Spanish and 2 years of German isn’t really an “easy A”, as most colleges, especially those in the Ivy League, recommended 4 years of language and you have 5.

That being said I recommend you take the ACT again. Strive for a 34. Retake your US subject test, or supplement with a different test.

Find more schools, and have a gurantee (super-safety), something with an ACT range of no higher then say 24-28, or a school within your range with over 60% acceptance rate.

With a well articulated essay you have a chance at ED Cornell, maybe even ED Brown.

thanks for the input that makes me feel better guys

I did ace German as much as I did Spanish, showing that languages are one of my strong suits, and I’ll be good at French by the time I apply. Quadlingual should be good right?

Also, I have done Indoor Soccer since 9th or 10th grade. I’m trying to think of something to do that will make me stand out
