PS: since I’m an early decision legacy athlete , would that impact my acceptance to cornell a lot?
I am pretty sure that Johnson is Cornell’s graduate business school. Dyson is their undergrad business school. Dyson’s AEM (Applied Economics and Management) major is the place where Cornell places most of their athletes (supposedly, and I truly do not know this part for a fact so maybe someone else can add some real facts, the classes are much easier for athletes whose time is taken up for practice, weight training and games), thus taking up most spots for a good majority of the kids who try to get into AEM without being a recruited athlete. So, if you want to be a business major and you’re a recruited athlete, even with subpar grades, you might stand a good chance to get into AEM.
If you weren’t an athletic recruit I’d have said low chance (low SAT, low GPA, EC’s are only OK to good). However, I don’t know anything about the recruiting process or how much it helps.
@Kumar452, it’s first generation legacy so it might be a slight bump but nothing substantial unless your family can donate ~$250,000 to the school soon, lol.
I’m sure your chances are better being a recruited athlete, though.
