I’ve been stressing a lot about this school, it’s my number one choice even though I’ve applied to harder ones. I’m a guy if that helps at all as well, my freshman and sophomore years my grades were not that good I dealt with depression both years and eventually I started playing football my sophomore year and it changed me into a completely different person. My GPA shot up from 3.1 to a 3.7 Junior year, my cumalitive currently is a 3.28 though because of freshman and sophomore year. I also have an 1870 SAT score or 1280 combined, I’ve taken AP Lang AP Physics AP World and multiple honors courses but I overwhelmed myself my early years with so many hard courses because my parents pushed me to take them and I never stopped to think if I could handle it at the time. I also have three years of football, three years of FBLA, two years of Future Health Professionals Club of which I am a co president, two years of Robotics and also a good personal statement as I’ve been told down below. In addition to this I have a good letter of recommendation from my football coach who has sent two other football players to JMU last year both of whom currently play there although I am not interested in an athletic scholarship. Do you think I could get in? I can link my essay as well it relates to depression and how football got me out of it.
