Do you think I can get into NYU with a 3.3 GPA?

Hi everyone, I’m currently a senior in high school and would really like to go to New York University. My GPA is currently a 3.3; I did not try my freshman year, and as a result it tremendously lowered my GPA. However I did work harder my sophomore and junior year and it brought my GPA to a 3.3. My SAT score is a 1450. My AP classes include: AP Calculus AB, AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Computer Science A, AP MicroEconomics, AP Statistics and AP Language & Composition. My extra curricular activities include: Varsity Golf (Junior year only), active member in my Boy Scouts Troop (Life Scout), I am an EMT, and I tutor younger underprivileged kids in Mathematics and English. I would like to major in Mathematics and Economics with a Computer Science Minor. All help is greatly appreciated; Thank You!!!

NYU has gotten crazy competitive in just the past year. I have a friend who applied ED with a GPA and test scores waaaaay higher than NYU’s mean and got denied. She said that our high school college counselor called the admission office and said that it was crazy hectic there. they have received way more applications than in past years making it a much more competitive applicant pool. Don’t fool yourself by looking at data from applicants from the past 5 years; they won’t reflect this years admission process. I’d say chances are slim to none.
