HI! I really want to go to NYU, and I applied to Gallatin.
I have a 3.4 gpa and 1260 out of 1600 on my SAT.
I know that is low but I believe I have a strong essay and lots of good extracurriculars.
Is there any chance of me getting in?

I would say you have a chance, but I would guess most likely you would be waitlisted. Your GPA and SAT are both less-than-stellar, but admissions are unpredictable. Did you list any back up schools, like CAS? Best of luck!
^ CAS has an even lower acceptance rate than Gallatin.
Your stats are pretty low for NYU. You may get into LSP, or SPS, if you indicated interest for these programs on your application. If not, your chances are low.
