Then if I want to transfer to Rutgers while I have a poor GPA in a very good school (Boston College) then do you think it won’t make a difference whether I write the essay? I’ve been putting off submitting my application because I havent had the time to write my essay yet, which, considering my bad gpa, I thought was necessary in order to make myself seem better.

I’m currently a student (sophomore) at Boston College who wants to transfer to Rutgers… I made a thread that says “Transferring to Rutgers?” like 5 days ago but people stopped responding, lol.

When I was in high school I had a 3.9 gpa and 2220 SAT score…

“An essay is required for first year applicants*** and must be composed and submitted in the essay box provided on the online application. The essay is an important factor in admissions decisions and also will be used for assessing student eligibility for academic scholarships.
Essays submitted separately from the application will not be considered.”

Hey guys, I applied to Rutgers NB EA. My gpa so far (the end of junior year) is a 3.37 out of a 4.3. This roughly puts me at a low b+ borderline high b (85-87 number wise). my weighted gpa is a 4.77 out of 6.3. My superscored is a 1840. I know its on the lower side, but I have alot of leadership and volunteer service (captain of soccer team, national honors society, participation in many clubs and was a boy scout) I applied to the schools of arts and science, business and engineering. My applications are still in process. I really want to go to either the business school or the arts and science. Do I have a chance?
