Right now, I am a student at a small private college in Arlington, Virginia. I am applying for UCF for fall 2011. I still have to send my transcript and stuff because I don't have enough college credits yet but this semester (my first semester of college) I got a 3.4. I also still have to send my SAT scores in, they are pretty low, maybe like a 1100 something and in high school I got a 2.9 GPA. I played softball in high school on the varsity team. Do you think I can get in?
I want to get into the Rosen College of Hospitality Management program and the photography program.

I have been accepted as a Transfer student and I got in. However my circumstances were different. I applied as a second degree seeking student so I already had a bachelors degree. The amount of college credits you have determines whether emphasis is placed on high school or college. Usually, from what I have heard, if you have less than 60 credits, have not received at least an AA, or only completed one semester of college, greater emphasis is placed on high school record. Your college stats are fine but high school ones are a little low in comparison to the first year freshman that have been accepted recently. UCF is becoming more competitive. I would apply anyway. They’ll give you feedback so at least you know where you stand.
