I haven't finished my junior year yet,
but i think i have a pretty good idea about what my GPA will be
when I apply for colleges. I think Princeton will be my first choice for ED.
My unweighted GPA will probably be 3.79.

school is 22nd or 25th in the nation according to Newsweek (yes i know the ranking is not accurate...)

grading scale
94-100 A
90-93 B+
84-89 B

school adds .5 only for ap courses as weighted grades.
then it will be about 3.9

only considering GPA for now, do you think i have a shot at Princeton?

it's too hard to even guess from such limited information. one would have to know what classes you got your non-A's in, and what class rank your GPA represents so it can be put into better context. just keep working hard and don't give up the dream.

thank you so much!
non As.
AP Chem
AP Eng
AP USH

AP chem is mostly my fault, couldn't pitch in enough time b/c of ECs...
AP eng... sigh... eng is not my 1st lang and i came here like 4 years ago.. shouldn't have taken it...
AP USH, actually one of the hardest AP courses offered. handful As in the whole course, counselors acknowledged this challenging course.

school doesn't rank
but hopefully top 10% (very likely)

i know that! :)
of course, as an Ivy, Princeton will see other factors too,
but I just wanted to know because my GPA is not that good...
thanks for the replies
