-Also my US History teacher--he is very intelligent and really saw something in me.

I really want to know if I can get into here. I plan on applying ED here at Hopkins. Which would you choose? I would do premed here then transfer after 4 yrs to do med school either at Hopkins or Harvard (?)... What do you think I could improve? What am I strong in? Thanks so much...and for you fellow college bounders--Good Luck!

And JHU is not a match for you, it is actually quite a reach. Your GPA and ACT is quite low for JHU.

Should be:

Reach - JHU, Chicago, Northwestern
Low Reach - UCLA
Match - BC

Actually the stats of the middle 50% of BC’s students have ACT scores of 28-32.

I do not comment on chances threads, but I really need to clear something up … many assume that since the ED acceptance rate is higher than the RD acceptance rate that is must clearly be easier to be admitted ED. IT IS NOT. The standards are exactly the same for ED and RD admits … it is that the size of the applicant pools are so different and the quality fo ED applicants is quite high.

Anyone who keeps thinking that it is easier to be admitted ED to Hopkins needs to read

wait…how is the GPA low?

WGPA: 4.875/5.0
UGPA: 4.525/5.0

Uh…idk…am I missing something? That seems pretty good to me…

it is low

the school has insane grade inflation

Class Rank: 124/502 (25%)–will go up next year
WGPA: 4.875/5.0
UGPA: 4.525/5.0

top 25% does correspond to the ACT score
ACT: 27

he’s barely in the top 25% too

it’s not possible to have a UW GPA of 4.525. UW gpa is based on a 4.0 scale. the high UW GPA possible is 4.3, and that’s with all A+'s.
