Do you think I could get in Texas A&M or Texas Tech?

You can be completely honest it isn't going to offend me, I need real opinions.

GPA: 3.5
SAT: 1550 (Critical Reading+Math+Writing) (Low I know..)
CLASS RANK: Top 25%

I also go to a STEM school so there pretty tough competition, I don't know if that matters. I have over 200+ hours of volunteer/community service hours. I played tennis. was a part of prom committee, and part of our Interact Club. I have been enrolled in Dual Credit classes since sophomore year and will be graduating with my Associates Degree the same time I graduate high school. (Our school is partnered with a University).

I would like to know what my chances are in getting into Texas A&M and Texas Tech. I have visited and gone on an official tour at Texas A&M.

If it matters, I want to study Communications and Media Studies or Advertising. Oh and I live in Texas. (Some people say that helps, lol)

Check your stats against the automatic admission methods. If your test scores are a bit short, you may want to practice them and retake for higher ones.

You won’t get into A&M, don’t apply (I know people with 29 ACT/2000 SAT and top 25% rank who didn’t get into A&M)

Check your CR+M and see if it can get you auto admit to Texas Tech.

The actual automatic admit threshold for A&M is top 25% and either 30 ACT with writing (with 27 in each of math and English) or 1300 SAT CR+M (with 600 in each of CR and M). Or top 10% without any test score thresholds.

Agree that the OP is rather far from that now, although that gives targets to aim for on retries on the SAT and ACT.

Non-automatic admission is possible, but probably means competing for a small part of the class since it is likely most will be taken by the automatic admits.
