Do you think I could make it into W&M, UVA, and other top schools?

Thanks in advance for the chancing!

buuuuuuump

BUMP again!

75 views. sigh.

You’re way too paranoid. You have a good shot at all of those schools. Good teacher recs could maybe help the low gpa.

UVA and WM care a lot about GPA and class rank. As an instate student where about 20 people a year applied to these schools, people who had very low SATs (I know a kid who had a 1200) but had extremely high GPAs got in, while high SAT students with low gpas did not. No one except for our top ten percent (7 students) got in, and no one below a 99 gpa made it. They are also tough on out of state. You have a better chance of WM than UVA- WM took about 15 kids with GPAs all over the scale, so that’s a bonus.

I know the same goes kinda for UNC and WFU.

Good luck!

Yeah I’ve heard that before. Good thing WM is my first choice!

W&M tries very hard to evaluate the whole person, beyond the numbers. Very tough admit, but you have a good shot.

-Tufts–match
-Boston College–in
-William and Mary–reach
-UVA–high reach
-UNC Chapel Hill–reach
-Wake Forest–match
-Duke–reach
-Notre Dame–reach
-Vanderbilt–reach

I think your stats look good. Good rec letters will definitely be helpful in the admissions process. Your SAT scores look good too. UNC and UVA are tough for out-of-staters unfortunately, but I think you have a decent shot for all the schools your applying too!

Chance me back?
