Do you think I could possibly get into Hofstra?

I want honest and concrete opinions.

I’m just a sophomore in high school, at the moment. GPA is currently 3.8571.

Freshman year I took all Honors courses and two regular courses (one of them wasn’t offered at honors level). Made A’s in all of them except for a B in one honors class.

This year I’m taking all Honors courses except for Chemistry + AP Psychology. I started off TERRIBLE (1 D, 2 C’s, 2 B’s, 3 A’s) during the first quarter but now in the second quarter I’m doing much better - 3 A’s and the rest are B’s.

Junior year I plan on taking all Honors courses + 3 AP’s. Senior year I plan to do the same with about 4-5 AP’s.

I barely have any EC’s, just Junior Honor Society for freshman year, which I barely contributed to. I want to go into the law field, and possibly major in Criminology, which Hofstra offers. Only problem I have with the university is that it’s very expensive - hoping to get grants/scholarships.

I plan to take the SAT next year. And possibly SAT subject tests.

Good job so far, keep up the good work. You can definitely get into Hofstra. This link will give you an approximation of the scholarship money you will receive. Keep in mind that this is the first year Hofstra’s test-optional. My guess is that the SAT will still be needed to get the maximum grants/scholarships though.
