Do you think I have a shot at SJSU???

Hello Everyone!,

I submitted my San Jose State University Fall 2014 application on October 7, 2013 ( I applied to others too, but I want to go to sjsu). I applied as an Electrical Engineering major with a community college transfer GPA of 3.06. I live in San Jose (10 min from sjsu), but I hear that SJSU will no longer favor you just because your a local (I hear people getting rejected with like 3.2, were any of these locals??). This worries me alot because I really want to go to SJSU, especially because it is local and will save me tons of money. The GPA threshold for Electrical Engineering for the fall 2013 applicants was a 2.4 but I know they are always fluctuating up and down for all majors. EE GPA however always seems to stay more of less the same (2.4 ~ 2.6) and like I mentioned above, I applied with a transferable GPA of 3.06. Do you guys think I will be ok despite the whole "no longer favoring locals" deal? OH! and also, I would like to mention that that I am a Upper division transfer student (60+ units) and will have the AS-T in mathematics degree by the time I transfer. Also, I will have every possible lower division curricula finished at community college by the time of transfer (Calc 1-3, Physics 1-3, Linear, DiffEq, Circuits, chem and GE's etc...). Please let me know what your guys opinions are on whether of not I have a chance at admission to SJSU as well as anything having to do with the "no longer favoring locals" business. My friends think I'm just being paranoid and they are sure ill get in. Please share your thoughts :) .

Thanks!!
