You cannot increase your weighed from un-weighed GPA by more than one point,
thus I would assume that your true GPA is at 3.95, not 4.85

Your ACT score of 24 is poor and your SAT score of 1870 is below average.

Being an “African male” is not a criteria for acceptance just as myself indicating that I come from a wealthy Catholic white family isn’t also.

Unfortunately, although your stats are very good for most Florida Colleges, UF is the most competitive and I honestly just don’t see it.
Good Luck anyways !
Don’t give-up hope as UF uses a “holistic approach” that may or may not help you.

Personally, I think you have a good chance at getting in. Your GPA is pretty good, and your course load is pretty good. It says a lot that you passed all of your AP tests. And your SAT score is within the middle 50% of students (though it and your ACT score could both stand to be raised). I’d say you’re on the edge, as in it could go either way. Also, you have great extracurriculars. Good luck! :)

You definitely have a shot. Grades are good and rigor of classes is very good. My S’s gf got in with very similar stats…Great shot for summer B . Good luck!

P>S> Should have said that gf’s SAT and ACT scores were very similar to yours and she got in for summer B 2011. Your test scores are important but not as important to UF as to other universitites. They look at the whole package.

Is it actually any easier to get into summer B?? It’s a term I’ve never really understood. When during the summer does it fall, and if I get in for summer b, or at all lol, will the campus be a ghost town? If deferred to this term can you also do the fall and spring terns afterwards, and then start in the fall again sophomore year? Any replies are much appreciated. Thanx.

Only 4 AP classes total - applied to UF for summer term. Not sure if it’s easier to get into the summer term. So far, accepted to FSU, UCF and Penn State University Park. If I get into UF , it will come down to Penn State vs UF.
