Alright, since 8th semester is coming to a close, I know alot of people are looking back realizing how much they slacked off in school. I am one of them.
I got accepted into Emory, but am getting pretty nervous now that I might get rescinded...

My CGPA is 4.01
My 6th and 7th semester GPAs were 4.5 and 4.6 (straight A's)

Unfortunately, my 8th semester grades will probably be as follows:
Philosophy- A
AP Calc- B
AP Macro- B
French III- B
AP English- C

shoot shoot shoot! I'm really scared right now! This brings my semester grade to a 3.5, which is a considerable drop from the 4.6 I got last semester.

Taking a poll, do you think I'll get rescinded???

Why do so many people let this happen? You're sending a clear messege that you were not getting the grades due to love of learning. I son't think you'll get recinded, but I wonder how you'll do in college with all the temptation to party.

^ I let my grades slip. Deos this mean I don't love learning? No, it means that after 3 and a half years of working so hard I am practically completely burned out. I worked so hard in high school. I pulled all nighters, took more tests and quizzes than I'd like to think about, was stressed to the point of practically breaking down both physically and mentally, and pretty much poured my heart and soul into school.

It has nothing to do with no love for learning. For my friends and me it has to do with sheer exhaustion.

Yea, you could do yourself a big favor by sitting down and talking with your teachers about your lowest grades. For all you know, telling them your situation could trigger their thinking and they could help you out a bit.

Not a chance. You would probably need more D's than C's before it was even a possibility. Don't be worried about impossibilities and enjoy the last month of hs.
