I'm a sophomore and I'm taking AP U.S. government this year, it's my first AP. I'm having so much trouble in this class though and I currently have a C. I don't foresee it getting any better though, it only seems to get worse and worse with every coming test. I really don't want to ever get a C in high school because that could really affect my college apps, right? I have As in all my other classes anyways. It has already been 4 weeks into school, but do you think I should switch into Honors Government or should I just take up the challenge of AP Government?

If you enjoy the class, stay. If not, switch out. Don't think about colleges. Think about yourself.

An A in a regular class is always better than a C in an AP class... Don't listen to the standard, politically correct, neutrally prepared answers adcoms like to dish out to make people feel better.

Agree; you should drop out and get an A in honors...now if you can get a "B" in AP, I think that'd be better, since it counts as an "A" anyways.

(And i'm also a soph with 1/first AP this year, AP world, and I have a C too..LOL)

Ok so I'm pretty sure now I want to switch out.. I'm scared I might end up with a C or possibly D. I hope my counselor will let me switch, I mean we ARE 4-5 weeks into school already. I've always wanted to get into an Ivy League so I'm assuming this could really hurt my chances.
